Human connection is crucial to our lives and to the future of craftsmanship. This space presents the results of creative collaborations: between artisans and designers, between different generations of craftspeople, and between masters and pupils. Around the room, stunning objects representing a wide variety of crafts celebrate the relationship between the people who conceived them. Several of the pieces result from two of the Michelangelo Foundation’s key projects: Doppia Firma, which provides a platform for designers and artisans to work together; and the Homo Faber Fellowship, a unique education programme which pairs master artisans with craft graduates. Meanwhile, live demonstrations by artisans from renowned maisons show how dialogue and cooperation enhance creativity and skill within watchmaking, jewellery making, shoemaking and more.
