Beyond the walls of Fondazione Giorgio Cini, Homo Faber in Città invites you to enrich your experience by exploring craft across Venice.
Use the dedicated app or Homo Faber Guide, to follow one of the craft itineraries in Venice, Murano and Burano, or create your own self-guided tour to hop from workshop to workshop - new ones are added weekly. Step off the beaten track to explore the creativity hidden in Venice’s backstreets and the surrounding region.
All the workshops are free to visit without pre-booking, within specified times. Visitors might be asked to wait in case of large turnout.

Venice the Homo Faber Way
Developed in partnership with Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte, Homo Faber in Città gives you a rare chance to visit over 70 artisan workshops. The unique opportunity to step inside these workshops and witness firsthand the tools, materials and skills mastered to bring to life contemporary objects, is made possible by the support of Cartier.
Take a journey across the city to discover the creative worlds of talented local artisans, from lampworkers to puppet makers, gondola makers to glassblowers.
